Provincial EFAP program provides support, assurance

Oct 15, 2025

Saskatchewan health-care workers now have a single, easily accessible destination for information on the supports provided to them and their family members.

Health care is a demanding field, requiring the dedication and vigilance of front-line workers to save lives and keep people healthy. That’s why participating employers are ensuring that workers have access to robust supports through the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).

This program is completely anonymous, protecting the identity of those who access its services; no one, including your employer, is informed that you have used EFAP unless you choose to tell them. It is also completely free of charge, funded entirely by employers.

In partnership with service provider TELUS Health, employees have 24-hour-a-day anonymous access to a wide variety of professional support resources and tools. By visiting the EFAP page on 3sHealth’s website, employees can get a better sense of how they can be supported when dealing with a broad range of family, health, money, work, and other issues. Materials provided include everything from videos, expert Qs and As, podcasts, and much more.

The EFAP program also provides a confidential quality assurance (QA) process to review and address any concerns or dissatisfaction that users have when accessing EFAP. The QA review process will help resolve issues, as well as gather feedback and provide coaching to prevent similar issues from repeating in the future. All QA submissions are sent directly to a confidential mailbox, and TELUS Health is engaged to achieve resolutions.

If you need to access services, please call 1.833.372.2314 at any time. For full details of the program, including brochures, FAQs, and privacy policy details, please visit the EFAP page.
