Job Summary
3sHealth delivers shared services to support Saskatchewan’s health system, enabling better care for patients across the province. We collaborate with health system partners to improve quality, efficiency, and innovation in service delivery.
The Human Resources Consultant supports the operational and strategic human resource needs of 3sHealth and serves as a consultant to support our service lines for shared services. This role will provide a full range of human resource services, including advice and guidance to managers and customers on:
- Human resources and employee relations issues; and
- Interpretation and application of employment policies and legislation.
The Human Resources Consultant also provides organizational development support in areas such as talent acquisition/management, departmental restructuring, team facilitations, conflict resolution, accommodation and return to work support, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures, streamlining and finding efficiencies with existing processes/procedures, and more.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to various provincial and internal project work.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation an asset.
- Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline and course work in the Human Resources field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to analyze complex situations, data and environments to produce workable and practical solutions.
- Ability to identify root cause of issues and develop/recommend solutions.
- Ability to manage conflict in real time and focus on problem solving.
- Ability to manage time and set personal goals and priorities to achieve department results.
- Ability to translate strategic direction into recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Ability to understand customer needs and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be a competent writer and ability to communicate with peers and customers sufficiently to meet work objectives.
- Team player with exceptional people building skills.
Experience
- Minimum five years' progressively responsible and related human resource experience. Experience in employee relations is an asset.
- Experience providing expertise and overall management to complex human resources and/or employee relations issues.
- Knowledge of recruitment methodology and practices.
- Knowledge of human resources best practices and employment related legislation.
- Knowledge of lean processes would be considered an asset.
- Experience in the Saskatchewan healthcare environment is an asset.
