Job Summary

Our mission is to care for the caregivers, and we are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team in fulfilling this important goal.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Employee Benefits team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to the delivery of exceptional service to our plan members.  Key Responsibilities include:

  • Processing incoming and outgoing daily mail
  • Preparing and sending written correspondence to plan members and stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate and organized disability and benefit files
  • Providing backup reception coverage for the organization
  • Performing general administrative tasks to support the Employee Benefits team

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to assume responsibility and work independently.
  • Ability to identify root cause of issues and develop/recommend solutions.
  • Ability to manage time and set personal goals and priorities to achieve department results.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Able to manage conflict in real time and focus on solutions as opposed to laying blame. 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and related software.
  • Must be a competent writer and have the ability to communicate with peers and customers effectively to meet work objectives.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to client service, teamwork, and collaboration. 
  • Knowledge of lean processes would be considered an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum two years' experience in an office environment providing administrative support.
  • Certificate/diploma in office administration or a combination of education and experience.
